Missouri State University’s primary emphasis is on teaching, which means our highly qualified faculty offer their expertise in a wide range of academic specialties.
The University has more than 700 full-time faculty members, and many professors have been nationally and internationally recognized in their academic areas. Many of these leading professors teach and work alongside our graduate students, and many are often involved in original research. We're proud to highlight a handful of those faculty members on our Featured Faculty site.
The Graduate Council is part of the University's faculty governance process, acting on curriculum matters, new programs, general policies and appointments to the Graduate Faculty. The Graduate Council is proactive in representing the needs of graduate education and proposing strategies to allow the Graduate College to fulfill its mission.
