Graduate recruitment grants support activities that increase the number and quality of graduate applicants.
The deadline to submit a Spring 2016 Graduate Recruitment Grant is March 1, 2016 March 14, 2016.
Grant recipients will receive up to $2,000 for recruitment activities — 90 percent from the Graduate College and 10 percent from the graduate program's department head or college dean.
Any program that did not receive a Graduate Recruitment Grant the previous semester is eligible to apply. Applications for the reprinting of brochures will not be considered; to request funds for this, contact Misty Stewart in the Graduate College.
Applying for the grant
Complete the application form and include the following information:
- A detailed description of the proposed innovative recruitment activities
- An explanation of how these activities are innovative
- A detailed budget to justify the funds requested
- A description of how the success of the event/activity will be measured
- The signature of the appropriate department head or dean
The application form is not to exceed two pages. Proposals for funding must be submitted by email as a PDF signed by a department head or dean indicating commitment to provide 10 percent of the requested funds.
Incomplete forms cannot be considered. Priority will be given to proposals that provide thorough details and are new and innovative, with the potential for long-term effects. If the project is successful in increasing the number and quality of applicants, the expectation is that the graduate program receiving the grant will fund the continuation of the project.
