THIS YEAR, there will be two rounds of competition. The preliminary round will be conducted from 8:30 -11:00 a.m., and all presenters will participate. Those presentations (posters and orals) that are judged to be the best will be announced during the break (about noon), and will need to present again in the final round (12:30-2:30 p.m.).
All presenters insession 1must check-in at 8:15 a.m.in their assigned room(click here for room assignment). At this time, all presentations requiring projection (i.e. PowerPoint - Microsoft 2003 version only) will be loaded on the computer and the room monitor will verify pronunciation of names and titles. Oral presentations for session 1 will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.

Oral presentations for session 2 will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Each presenter will have 12 minutes for the presentation followed by 3 minutes for questions.In order to maintain a fair time allotment to all presenters, the time limitation will be strictly enforced. A timer will hold up a card at the 11 minute mark, indicating there is one minute left. At the 12 minute mark, the timer will hold up another card which indicates the presenter must conclude the presentation. If the presenter does not conclude at the 12 minute mark, he/she will be given another 30 seconds at the end of which, the room monitor will close the presentation and open the session for questions.
Please bring aflash disk or CD to upload the presentation to the computer provided in the room.Save presentation files in Microsoft 2003 version only.
Poster Presentation
Set up for poster presenters will be from7:30 – 9:00a.m. in PSU 300 (click here to see poster board number/location). All posters must be hungby 9:00 a.m. and remain on display until noon: those selected for the final round will be moved at that time.
Presenters are expected to be physically present at their posters during their designated time.
Poster Session I (# 1-6, 12-17, 24-30, 38-44) must be present from 9:15-10:00 a.m. and Poster Session II (# 7-11, 18-23, 31-37, 45-51) must be present at their posters from 10:45-11:30 a.m.
Wooden display boards will be provided (4 feet tall x 6 feet wide). Presenters will bring their own presentation materials which will be secured to the display board with push pins. Please bring your own pins to secure poster materials. Only materials that can be attached to the display board are allowed.
