Program description
The certificate in family and consumer sciences education provides a 15 hour graduate-level experience for educators and those working with community organizations who are interested in family and consumer science (FCS) education. The program provides for the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary for understanding and implementing FCS content and resources for all educators. The certificate is designed to provide a foundation for integrating hands on learning into the FCS classroom. Through course-based activities from various FCS content areas, students will be prepared to develop curriculum, lead student organizations, and continue professional development opportunities.
Admission criteria
A grade point average of 2.75 is required for admission.
