Interdisciplinary Forum - Register to be a Judge

Faculty members and off-campus professionals, are invited to help judge the oral presentations, poster presentations and performances during the Forum. You may be assigned to judge a presentation that is close to your discipline, or very different from your field.  The latter is because we have asked the students to present their research in a way that can be understood outside of their field.  Therefore, presentations should not be too technical.

Check-in information

You will need to report to the judges' room (TBD) in the PSU as early as 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 5th. All rankings must be reported to Tom Tomasi after the completion of assigned presentations.

Judging oral presentations

Judges for oral presentations will view presentations from 8-9 a.m. and 10-11 a.m.

Judging poster presentations

Two sets of poster judges will be assigned to each category. The first set will assess approximately 10 posters without students present from 9-10 a.m. and identify students with excellent posters.

A second set of judges will interview these students at their posters from 11 a.m.- noon and select the winners in each category.

Judging performances

Performance presentation rounds will be determined by the nature and amount of submissions in that format.
