Why take graduate courses as a nondegree-seeking student?

Admission requirements

If you have completed a bachlelor's degree, you may take courses under the postbaccaluaureate student classification without being admitted to a program of study. 

If you later decide to apply for admission, you may transfer up to 30% of a graduate program's credits as outlined in the master's and specialist degree requirements.

How to apply

Apply for admission to Missouri State University and register for classes by filling out the nondegree-seeking admission enrollment form. This form is provided through Missouri State's Adult Student Services. Note: Permission to register from the department and/or the professor may be required.

Is financial aid available to nondegree-seeking students?

Generally financial aid is not available for nondegree-seeking students. If you are taking prerequisite classes to be admitted to a graduate program or seeking teacher certification then it may be possible to receive financial aid as a nondegree-seeking student.
