Graduation Information for Graduate Students

Get graduation-ready by reviewing the information below. Remember to meet with your advisor or contact the Graduate College to determine if you have met all the necessary requirements for graduation.

Research and comprehensive exam result deadlines

  • For Spring 2026:
    • The last day to submit your thesis to the Graduate College on the Brightspace site: April 17, 2026.
    • The last day to submit your Seminar Report Form to the Graduate College (for required programs): April 17, 2026.
    • The last day for departments to notify the Graduate College of comprehensive exam results:  April 30, 2026.
  • For Summer 2026:
    • The last day to submit your thesis to the Graduate College on the Brightspace site: July 13, 2026.
    • The last day to submit your Seminar Report Form to the Graduate College (for required programs): July 13, 2026.
    • The last day for departments to notify the Graduate College of Comprehensive exam results: July 22, 2026.

Application for graduation

Click on the "Graduation Application and Status Review" link in the "Graduation & Commencement" card in your My Missouri State. The deadline to have your name in the commencement program is March 31 for spring commencement and October 31 for fall commencement.
