Supporting graduate education

Program directors are the primary point of contact for their respective graduate programs. Duties of this position vary with the program, but program directors are expected to be an advocate for the needs of their program and their students.

The basic duties of a program director include:

  • Recruitment and marketing of the program
  • Admissions
  • Advisement
  • Overseeing curriculum and course rotations
  • Updating program information in Graduate Catalog
  • Assisting with evaluation of graduate faculty
  • Record keeping
